Typically we over stuff our refrigerators and freezers with lots of food items. The over stuffing prevents the coolers from reaching out to every corner of the refrigerator due to this the food and the refrigerator itself doesn’t work well.

If you have a refrigerator at a restaurant you’ll have to open it again and again and over stuffing is not an option to overcome these difficulties walk in refrigerators were introduced.

Basically the walk-in refrigerators are used to store raw and cooked food at a low temperature for preservation and daily use. The best part is you can store the food in bulk without hassle and overlapping.

The walk in refrigerators is installed according to the space and need of the customer. They are found in different sizes but still are customizable.

Shelves:


They have shelves placed in such a manner that it creates an ease for the user to store and find the food. The shelves are placed on the top of each other and they are also moveable and mobile. There are some refrigerators with rolling shelves that roll out on the front or on the sides depending upon the installation.

 Doors:


Door are designed for frequent hand free operations as in restaurants the cooks are always in hurry and waiters have to take out two trays out at a time so the doors are made for them. The sizes of the doors are also adjustable and large enough so that people can easily pass through them.

Space Friendly:


Compressors, condensers and evaporators are placed on the sides and ceilings to ensure the best services like cooling and storing. This also saves the space. Mostly walk-in refrigeration uses one cubic foot space to easily carry the operations of food storage.

Temperature:


The regular freezers are adjusted to cool food up to 0 degrees while the walk in refrigerators are designed and programmed to go beyond the limit. The range is “35 degree to -10 Fahrenheit”.

Maintenance:


For its maintenance you just have to keep track of things like cleaning the condensers and the place frequently, take care of the stainless steel, it helps in prevention of leakage and breakage. Proper ventilation is must; every refrigerator needs a proper ventilation process.

Repair:


Walk in refrigerator repair is easy. If your refrigerator needs a repair don’t try to do math by yourself or do not call any ordinary help. Call a professional, preferably the ones who installed the system in first place.

Conclusion:


Walk in Refrigeration is no big deal. These refrigerators are just like the ones that you already have at home except these are bigger and you can walk in them and store the products.  They are much stronger and durable than the regular ones and are FDA approved for the storage of food. It can be used in place of many regular freezers and consumes lesser energy too. So we can say that they are cost effective and energy efficient.
